If you are having problems with allergens in your home, you may not be cleaning properly, or as often as you should. When you clean your house properly, you can greatly reducethe allergens present in your home. Here are some of the most important things that you have to do to keep your home allergen free:

1. Vacuum and dustat least once or twice a week

To reduce the allergens in your home, you should vacuum and dust once or twice every week. This will help to remove dust and other allergens that are present in it. The build-up of allergens will also be prevented when you have a regular cleaning schedule. When you are done with the vacuum cleaner, use a soft cloth to wipe surfaces such as tables, countertops and other furniture in order to trap the dust instead of simply moving it around.

2. Damp mop hard floors on a daily basis

Allergens collect on the floor on a daily basis. That is why you should damp mop your floor once a day to remove these allergens. Get rid of them daily before they start affecting your health or the health of other members of your family.

3. Use a vacuum cleaner with double thickness bag

To get rid of allergens when vacuuming your home, you should not use the standard bag. You should use a double thickness bag that will hold the allergens without letting them escape back into the room. You will be wasting your effort if you use the standard bag when you want to remove micro sized allergens.

And if you would like to have someone come handle your housekeeping needs, The Maids of Medway, Massachusetts would be happy to assist you!
